Rejoice Fifteen

When I set out on this heroine’s journey, I must disclaim,

Even a fool like me, with all my yearning for romance true,

Could not have dreamed of the power of our combined love aflame:

Hydrogen bomb of light and life, everlasting joy, so new.

Our union, a mystic marriage, nonlocal, containing all

Outpacing time, our love burns like a forest fire unchecked.

See how those near us are consumed and reborn, free from their thrall?

Entwined are we since our opportunity to reconnect...

Rarefied through trials, we come together a perfect match,

Early on, our fears of that which we could become intervened;

Jaded by pasts from which we could not bring ourselves to detach,

Only triumphing through fire and pain, pride broken and demeaned.

I call to you across space; a boundless ocean is my heart,

Coal?  No longer soft and yielding, ev’r ready to fall apart...

Entrancing diamonds, we; clear of purpose, hewn by sacred art.
